My piece for Albion design challenge ‘22 ‘Renaissance’.
Just as day follows night, the dark times will always come before times of light. Life is cyclical. I am someone who has always been drawn to astrology, metaphysics and inner work. Certainly the last few years have been the greatest education for me.
My goal has been that no matter what is happening in the outside material realm, I maintain a constant inside. As the old systems crumble and we await a return to the light, we must look for joy where we can. In harder times, can we still awaken every morning with joy and welcome the day?
Every time the sun rises, we have an opportunity for renaissance. I love how the rooster takes his place in his world and every day crows out unapologetically: “Here I Am”.
This kit is worked in tent stitch and includes a 12hpi colour printed canvas, Appleton Wools, needles, coloured chart and instructions. The finished design measures 50cm x 35cm (20 x 14 inches) approx.
